Meet In Olympian Land is the new promotional platform for MICE tourism by the Region of Western Greece.
As part of the 2024 Annual Tourism Promotion Program, the Region of Western Greece is organizing an informative event for tourism, hospitality, conference, and event stakeholders about the imminent launch of Meet in Olympian Land. This new and innovative online destination aims to showcase Western Greece as an emerging and alternative destination for conferences, corporate meetings, and professional events.
The event will take place on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 14:15 in the hall of the Regional Council of Western Greece, located at N.E.O. Patras Athens 32, Patras.
The online platform Meet in Olympian Land is expected to launch soon and aims to be an interactive space where professionals from Greece and abroad can explore collaboration opportunities. Offering a dynamic directory of available spaces, services, and networking possibilities, this platform is designed to become the main pillar for promoting conference tourism in the area.
Interested businesses and service providers in the tourism, conference, or hospitality sectors can register on the Meet in Olympian Land platform for free and benefit from increased visibility and networking opportunities. Businesses will gain access to a broader market and can potentially attract new clients, connect with professionals and organizations from around the world, and promote a sustainable tourism development model for the region.
The platform follows international standards for Tourism Development and Promotion and aims to enable event organizers to explore potential collaborations with local businesses.
In this context, the Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism Development, Panagiotis Sakellaropoulos, stated: “It is a particular joy for the Region of Western Greece and for me personally that the construction of the ‘Meet in Olympian land’ platform constitutes an innovative digital tool that will connect all stakeholders in our region’s conference market with the goal of attracting conferences and events that will further enhance the promotion of Olympian Land and offer unique opportunities to support local businesses and our overall tourism infrastructure.”
